Our Group Board is responsible for making sure that our activities are carried out to a high standard that keeps on improving.

The Group Board is currently made up of 10 individuals, which includes our Chief Executive and two residents. Each member brings valuable skills and experience from other sectors and organisations to their role.  As a provider of social housing, we are regulated by Homes England.

The Group Board are also supported by a number of committees and resident groups to ensure our services are consistently improving to meet the needs of the people we help and house.

    Visakha is an independent housing consultant with nearly thirty years of experience in the sector, having worked for local authorities, the Housing Corporation/HCA (now Homes England), and the Morgan Sindall Group. Her experience covers private and public sector housing development, governance and leadership.

    Sandeep joined the Octavia Board as Chairman on 24 April 2017.  Sandeep is a local resident with a background in banking and law . He has been a Board member of WaterAid, currently chairs a human rights charity and also sits on the boards of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and the Mowgli Foundation.

    Grahame Hindes has been the Chief Executive of Octavia for the last twelve years  During this time the organisation has developed over 1,000 homes in the most expensive areas in the country and established the The Octavia Foundation to provide extra support to thousands of people in the communities where Octavia own properties including Octavia tenants.

    Appointed to the Board and the Services Scrutiny Panel on 18 October 2010. Angus is a Chartered Surveyor and a Fellow of the Association of Building Engineers. He has worked at director and partner level in professional firms and has experience which ranges from major refurbishments and new build construction to defects analysis and planned maintenance. He is also our Board Health and Safety Champion.

She is currently a coach and management consultant and has worked at director level within the sector, as well as an affiliate inspector with the Audit Commission and the Housing Corporation.

    Dave Woods is Development Director at Octavia, who are lead partners of the Connected Development Partnership; one of the Housing Corporation’s Preferred Partners developing over 1000 homes in London and Hertfordshire.

    With over 20 years experience of developing new homes for RSLs in Central and West  London, Dave is considered an expert on affordable development matters.  He also represents the National Housing Federation on a number of research projects and working parties where he represents the social housing sector.

    Director of Asset Management, Noel responsible for the delivery of responsive repairs, planned works and the reinvestment programme.

    Noel has been a Chartered Building Surveyor for 20 years and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management and a technical member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Prior to joining Octavia he  worked with WCC and CWH for over 16 years helping them to achieve and retain a ‘3 star with excellent prospects’ status from the Audit Commission.

    Since joining Octavia Housing Noel has led on the introduction of new long term partnering contracts with Mears and Village Heating Ltd. He is passionate about ensuring the delivery of excellent repair services to our residents.

    Reena has over 25 years experience of working for charities in London and has held a number of senior positions. Her experience involves work with homelessness charities, charitable trusts and foundation and housing associations.

    She is currently Director of Octavia Foundation, helping to provide Octavia tenants and the wider community with services and programmes that help to sustain tenancies and improve the lives of individuals.

    Mark has held a number of senior positions in housing associations over the past 16 years, mainly as Finance Director. He qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1983 having worked both in the UK and extensively overseas.

    Sarah joined Octavia in 2018 as Director of Housing, Care and Communities, bringing more than 20 years’ experience of improving operational housing services.

    Sarah’s last role was at East Thames, where she led a programme which transformed the culture, performance and finances of the organisation.

    Sarah is passionate about the value of social housing to change individual lives, and the wider societal benefit it provides.
