This Octavia owned piece of land had previously been used by residents of Wilsham Street Estate as an informal community garden. Following two rounds of public consultation proposals were put forward to develop two four bedroom town houses and provide a high quality landscape garden on the adjoining St Katherine Square. During the construction there was on-going consultation by way of regular residents’ newsletters.
The town houses include an upper floor terrace with spectacular views of Avondale Park to the rear and views of the newly landscaped square to the front.
A main objective of this scheme was to improve amenity and security and as part of the scheme proposals the estate has new lighting to some of its pedestrian footpaths and St Katherine Square.
The result of this scheme is two modern town houses plus a high quality hard and soft landscaping scheme.
