Fitzroy Place, Fitzrovia
Neighbouring the popular Soho and Mayfair areas, this project is a celebration of the old and new. This scheme forms part of the historic Middlesex Hospital with the old façade of the hospital building being retained on Nassau Street.
The development will create a new podium level landscaped square which will be open to the public. The development will also incorporate a refurbished 18th century Greek Orthodox Church.
Octavia’s 54 affordable units face Riding House Street and Cleveland Street.
In total this is a 3 acre site. The whole development will provide 237 residential units, 20,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and 310,000 square feet of commercial/office space to include a new gymnasium and cinema.
In addition to 54 affordable homes comprising 14 shared ownership units and 40 flats for rent, Octavia has also acquired 5 secure wheelchair parking spaces in the basement.
All the units are built to both level 4 of the code for sustainable homes and to life time homes standards. The scheme will benefit from a Combine Heat and Power communal heating and hot water system.
This scheme completed October 2015.
