Cyber attack on several London councils

We’ve been made aware that Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea Council (RBKC), Westminster City Council and Hammersmith and Fulham Council have all been impacted by a cyber security attack this week. 

The councils are working to establish the extent of the breach and the impact to their systems, however, RBKC Council have confirmed that as a result of the attack, they are currently unable to process any Housing Benefits (HBs) or Discretionary Housing Payments (DHPs). We anticipate both Hammersmith and Fulham Council, and Westminster City Council will report similar positions soon.
