Octavia has been short-listed for two development awards

Witley Wharf

Octavia has been shortlisted for two awards in the First Time Buyer Magazine Readers' Awards.

One of our contemporary new apartments at our Witley Wharf development in Southall has been shortlisted for ‘Best First Time Buyer Apartment’.

We have also been short-listed for the category of ‘Affordable Housing Provider of the Year’ in the same awards.

Judges shortlisted the modern shared-ownership Witley Wharf apartment for Best First Time Buyer Apartment because they were impressed with its generous size, canal-side setting location and its affordability to first time buyers. This two bedroom, two bathroom apartment, with balcony, is on the market for £355,000 and can be purchased for shared ownership (25% share) for £83,750, making it one of the most affordable among comparable new homes currently on the market.

Situated next to the Grand Union Canal, Witley Wharf is a development of 46 apartments in two low rise blocks adjacent to both the north side of the canal and a former wharf. Tucked away from busy roads and the bustle of central Southall, the development offers a calm location for people seeking somewhere a little quieter to live with good amenities nearby and excellent transport links. Witley Wharf is well connected to London and Heathrow Airport and Southall rail station is currently being re-developed into a new Crossrail connection.

We were shortlisted for the Affordable Housing Provider of the Year award in recognition of our commitment and innovation in continuing to provide good quality, energy efficient, affordable homes in some of the most highly valued property areas in the country. It also recognises the good standard of support we provide to our shared ownership residents throughout the buying process, whether they are a first time buyers or an existing shared ownership residents seeking to upsize to a larger home. Revenues raised from our shared ownership sales are used to develop more affordable housing.
